Food is kept cold, no matter if on the top or lower shelf. The only downside is the freezer compartment freezing shut.

I will not purchase another Haier refrigerator. Due to the bad experience with this product I will hesitate to buy another Haier product. We've worked very hard for our income and it was very disappointing to have this problem.

This compact refrigerator/freezer is perfect for an office, basement, garage, dorm or bedside for the infirm, where ever you need one. The freezer is part of the refrigerator compartment & won't "freeze" something from scratch but it will keep things frozen for a good amount of time but expect to use your frozen item within a few days.
The refrigerator compartment is very large, holds full size items like a 2 liter of soda, 1/2 gal of milk on the door, etc. It also has deep shelves that are easy to remove to clean. I've had this little gem for over 3 years & it still works like a champ.

I use my freezer/refrigerator as a secondary household equipment. I keep in a remote location and makes it so I don't have to go all the way to the kitchen for food and drinks. It makes my patio a convenient place to eat and relax. It also helps when I need more refrigeration space than my main refrigerator can give
