The Clean Start Project revolves around the idea that social change starts on the individual level, and that helping even one person can lead to change in an entire community. A clean start can help a person move forward through a difficult time and provide an opportunity for change where none existed before. The Clean Start Project encourages people to think about what they can do in the service of others. No matter your location, age, or income, you have some resource, knowledge, or ability that can be used to help someone else.
The Clean Start Project began in 2011 with an inspiring video that centers on the issue of homelessness, and encourages people to brainstorm ways to engage with their communities. This is one way we are using social media to create dialogue surrounding social issues that are important to today’s consumers. The idea behind the Clean Start Project is to encourage consumers to give back and make a difference in simple, yet meaningful ways.
