"Haier Home Tour Sweepstakes"

Eligibility: The “Haier Home Tour Sweepstakes” (“Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, age 18 or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Haier America Trading, LLC (“Sponsor”), its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, electronic media firm, Textopoly, Escalate Marketing (“Administrator”), Sweepstakes Consulting, LLC, and anyone involved in the production, development or handling of this Sweepstakes are not eligible. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

Timing: Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 a.m. (all times are Eastern Time) on 7/1/09, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on 10/2/09 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).

How to Enter (text or mail):
Limit of one entry per person or phone number. All entries become the property of Sponsor, and none will be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, incomplete, unintelligible, stolen or postage-due entries.

a. By Text Message: Using a two-way text-messaging capable device during the Sweepstakes Period, text HAIER to the short code 88704. You will receive one (1) text message in response to your entry. Text STOP to 88704 to opt-out. Text HELP to 88704 for information. When you enter the Sweepstakes via text messaging, only your phone number will be registered for the sole purpose of administering this sweepstakes. Send questions to 877-806-3596. Entrants that enter by text-messaging will be charged according to their carrier’s standard text-messaging charges and entrants should contact their carrier for pricing plans and details. Check your owner’s manual for specific text-messaging instructions. Text-messaging may not be available through all wireless carriers. Supported Carriers: Alltel, AT&T Mobility, Boost Mobile, Cellular One, Cricket, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, and Virgin. Standard messaging charges apply.

b. By Mail: Hand print your name, age, address, phone number, and e-mail address (optional) on a 3”x5” piece of paper and mail to: "Haier Home Tour Sweepstakes", P.O. Box 25456, Rochester, NY 14625-0456. Entries must be postmarked by 10/2/09 and received by 10/8/09. Limit of one entry per outer envelope.

Prize and approximate retail value (“ARV”): One (1) winner will be awarded the following appliances on the Haier Home Tour between 7/1/09 and 9/27/09: a Haier Refrigerator ($1,999.00 ARV), a Haier 42" LCD Television ($929.99 ARV), a Haier 19" LCD Television ($249.99 ARV), a Haier 6,000 BTU Air Conditioner ($329.00 ARV), a Haier Washer and Dryer ($1,028.00 ARV for set), and a Haier Dishwasher ($399.00 ARV). Total ARV of entire prize: $4,934.98. Prizes will be delivered inside winner’s residence. Any expenses not mentioned above are the winner’s responsibility. Taxes are the winner’s responsibility. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. No substitution for prize except as may be necessary due to unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received.

Winner Validation: The winner will be selected on or about 10/9/09 in a random drawing under the supervision of Sweepstakes Consulting, LLC, an independent judging agency whose decisions regarding the Sweepstakes are final. Potential winner will be notified by phone or mail and required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (“Affidavit”) that must be returned via mail within fourteen (14) days of the date and time of notification or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Prize acceptance constitutes permission (except where prohibited) to use winner’s name and likeness for publicity purposes without additional compensation.

General Terms: Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Participants, by participating in this Sweepstakes, hereby waive and release, and agree to hold harmless the Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, from and against, any and all rights, claims and causes of action whatsoever that they may have, or which may arise, against any of them for any liability for any matter, cause of thing whatsoever, including but not limited to any injury, loss, damage, whether direct, compensatory, incidental or consequential, to person, including death and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from their acceptance, possession, use or misuse of, or inability to use a prize in the Sweepstakes, or their participation in the Sweepstakes, or their participation in any Sweepstakes or prize related activity. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete or illegible entries or Internet technical, hardware, software, telephone, or transmission failures of any kind, which may limit a person’s ability to enter the Sweepstakes. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for any injury or damage to entrants’ or any other person’s phone or computer related to or resulting from entering or downloading any materials in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend advertising the Sweepstakes should a computer virus, unauthorized intervention or other cause corrupt the integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found to be disrupting the operation of the Sweepstakes. If the integrity of the Sweepstakes is compromised in any manner, Sponsor reserves the right to modify Sweepstakes and randomly select a winner from valid entries received that are unaffected by the problem. In the event of a dispute as to any text entry, the authorized account holder of the text-messaging capable device used to register will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" of a text-messaging capable device is the natural person in whose name the device has been issued and the services are billed. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. All issues and questions concerning these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of New York State, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of New York State or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than New York State.
