A program of the Food Bank For New York City, the Community Kitchen & Food Pantry of West Harlem is a full-service soup kitchen and food pantry that helps provide nearly 50,000 free meals each month to individuals and families, the majority of whom are women, children, seniors, the working poor, and people with disabilities.

Haier America held the 2nd annual Haier Volunteers initiative with the Food Bank For New York City during the last two weeks of August. Employees from Haier joined staff to prepare and serve food at the Food Bank's Community Kitchen & Food Pantry in Harlem, continuing the efforts that began last year.
