NEW YORK, NY (Dec. 14, 2011) – As deals on HDTVs heat up the internet from Black Friday through Cyber Monday and beyond, Haier has garnered significant online exposure from the recent red-hot deal reported by Rick Broida on CNET, as well as other great deals. The Haier L32D1120 shot up the list of online retailer’s bestselling HDTVs while receiving great consumer reviews with an average of 4 stars. One consumer took the time to share the out-of-the box experience on YouTube so that consumers who aren’t familiar with the brand would feel a bit easier about making their new purchase.

“We have been extremely pleased with our holiday efforts thus far. Sales of Haier products through our retail partners from Black Friday through Cyber Monday increased dramatically over last year's numbers," said Douglas Lane, President, Digital Products Group, Haier America. “Our retail partners have made a great effort to drive the brand by communicating through strong promotions of the incredible value Haier product delivers at a great price. We expect this trend to continue through December and lead into CES as we continue to bring new products to market.”

This year, Haier launched a full line of LED and LCD televisions including the largest set in company history, a 55” LED. All Haier LED models are ENERGY STAR® 5.3, meeting the strictest energy requirements and continuing the company’s efforts to be conscious of consumers' desire to save money as well as make eco-friendly decisions. In December the company began shipping the new 40” SBEV40-SLIM soundbar, one of the slimmest soundbars on the market, and on Christmas Haier will tip-off another season as the Official HDTV of the NBA.
