New York, NY June 26, 2012 – Portable air conditioners can provide spot cooling or heating options if used correctly. Commercial Cool by Haier portable air conditioners have casters and can be rolled from room to room but to work properly, they must be vented through a window. The quick-mount window kit, which is included, makes it easy to vent the portable air conditioner through a double-hung or sliding window. Portable air conditioners are available in cool only or heat/cool, for supplemental heat.

The exhaust kit makes it easy to vent your portable air conditioner through different types of windows. The kit includes a window panel and adapter to fit to the dimensions of the window, along with hose connectors and two hoses (on some models). Maintenance is minimal with a slide-out washable mesh filter and Auto Evaporation technology that makes manual draining unnecessary. The 24 Hour On/Off Timer function is an energy saving feature that allows consumers to easily program the air conditioner to turn on or off at preferred times.

How Does It Work?

1. Warm, humid air is drawn from the room into the portable air conditioner.

2. Heat and humidity are pulled from the air and drops as water from the coils into the water collection area in the base of the air conditioner.

3. A turbine fan picks up the collected water and sprays it onto the hot condenser coil where it evaporates into water vapor.

4. The water vapor, along with the heat removed from the room is blown out of the discharge hose and passes out of the room through the included window kit.

5. Cooled air is then circulated throughout the room.
