Haier Presents NBA Legends and Celebrity Chef Allison Fishman at CES

As one of only a few exhibitors that will show major appliances along with electronics at the 2012 CES next month in Las Vegas, Haier will be showcasing the full breadth of its product assortment with the help of high-profile guests throughout the entire show. As the number one major appliances brand in the world* and the Official HDTV of the National Basketball Association, Haier's entertainment at CES includes appearances from NBA Legends Robert Horry and John Salley, as well as cooking demonstrations with Celebrity Chef Allison Fishman.

Horry and Salley, the only two players to have won NBA Championships with three different teams, will visit the Haier Booth (#9826) in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center to help unveil Haier’s 2012 electronics lineup on January 10^th and 11^th 2012. Chef Allison Fishman will be on hand each day to lead the way in rolling out the red carpet for Haier's array of new kitchen appliances. Allison will conduct cooking demonstrations in the Haier kitchen, highlighting new cooking appliance products slated for late 2012, including an induction cooktop, ranges, warming drawers, wall-ovens, and microwaves. Visitors will be able to sample fresh baked goods prepared by Allison each day during the show, which runs January 10-13.

“Celebrity Chef Allison Fishman will be the central attraction of our CES booth as she prepares some wonderful treats for visitors and shows off the new technologies of our latest appliances, including features designed to make being in the kitchen a safer, more convenient, and overall more pleasant experience,” said Richard Block, Vice President of Marketing for Haier America. “As the Official HDTV of the NBA, we are also pleased to be hosting John Salley and Robert Horry to help us launch our new television lines.”

Allison Fishman is the author of You Can Trust a Skinny Cook and host of Yahoo’s Blue Ribbon Hunter. Allison's work focuses on helping home cooks have fun in the kitchen by giving them the skills and confidence to cook delicious, nourishing meals at home. She is a contributing editor for Cooking Light magazine and was the co-host of Lifetime’s show Cook Yourself Thin and TLC’s Home Made Simple, where she helped modern American families prepare homemade meals.

The NBA Legends will sign autographs from 11:00am – 2:00pm (time subject to change).

January 10^th: Robert Horry-NBA Legend

Robert Horry is a 7-time NBA Champion and he is one of only two players (the other is John Salley) to have won NBA championships with three different teams: two with the Houston Rockets, three with the Los Angeles Lakers and two with the San Antonio Spurs. He earned the nickname “Big Shot Rob” because of his clutch shooting in important games.

January 11^th: John Salley-NBA Legend

John Salley was the first player in NBA history to play on three different championship-winning franchises. During the ’80s, Salley was a member of the Detroit Piston squad. Salley went on to Chicago as part of the Bulls’ 1996 championship team and then the 1999-2000 Lakers’ Championship team.
