Haier was recently presented with 2011 Global Competitiveness Brands?-China Top 10 award the at the 2011 Sustainable Development and Global Competitiveness Forum (SDGC) and Silicon Valley Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship event held in Santa Clara, California from October 21st through the 23rd. Distinguished guests included U.S. Congress members, U.S. Senators, government officials from both the United States and China, and the CEOs of many of Silicon Valley?s high tech companies. This event is the premier forum for technological and entrepreneurial innovation between the United States and China. 

The theme of this year?s forum, which featured a keynote address by President Bill Clinton, was ?Innovation and Integration in the New Pattern,? a concept that expresses the desire to build bridges between the U.S. and China in order to establish innovative platforms for sustainable development. The goal of the forum is to provide a stage for the introduction and exchange of insights and wisdom between U.S. and Chinese companies, and to identify and discuss issues concerning sustainability during the growth and globalization of China?s large enterprise. Haier was invited to attend as a VIP guest, and Jeff McCullough, Sales Manager, was present to accept the award during a ceremony held on the first day of the forum.
