Haier Launches “Pin Our Parks” Contest in honor of the National Parks Conservation Association
--Pinterest Contest Will Promote the Beauty of America’s National Parks Starting Nov. 27--
NEW YORK (November 27, 2012) – Haier, a leading provider of home appliances and electronics, and proud supporter of the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), is launching a Pinterest contest celebrating the beauty of our national parks. The contest introduces Moments to Conserve, a campaign to raise awareness for national park conservation.
Hosted on Haier’s Pinterest page, the Pin Our Parks Pinboard will showcase a collection of stunning images—still-life vignettes showing a moment captured in one of America’s national parks. The ‘Pin to Win’ contest allows followers to pin their favorite Moment to Conserve image from Haier’s board and enter themselves into a drawing to win one of three prizes. The top prize is a Haier ENERGY STAR® qualified refrigerator; second prize will be two Haier soundbars; and additionally there are 50 NPCA memberships up for grabs. All Twitter conversations can be followed with the #MomentstoConserve hashtag.
“As National Parks struggle to maintain funding, it is more important than ever to bring attention to these wonderful treasures,” said James Liess, senior manager of Communications at Haier America. “As a supporter of NPCA, we felt that a Pinterest photo contest would be a fun way to really share the experience people have once they visit a park.”
In addition to showcasing the magnificence of our national parks, the contest also affirms Haier’s commitment to sustainability and the NPCA. From healthy living to ways to recycle, this new feature will provide monthly content with easy tips for healthy living.
