Haier is committed to the safe recycling of electronic products and product materials through our partnerships with Electronics Recyclers International and Creative Recycling Systems. Through Electronic Recyclers International, consumers can arrange drop-off for outdated or broken materials at local sites. Consumers can visit 1-800-Recycling.com to learn more about Electronic Recyclers International® and find locations nearby to dispose of old electronics. 

As of April 1, 2011 all residents of New York State now have the option of recycling their used electronics for FREE. This also includes businesses with 49 or fewer employees and non-profits with 74 or fewer. As required in Section 27-2603.1(b) of the NYS Electronic Recycling and Reuse Act, Haier will accept all Haier brand covered electronics equipment and one piece of electronic waste of any manufacturer’s brand with the purchase of a similar Haier product.

What items can I recycle?

  • Small electronics, including VCRs, DVRs, DVD players, cable receivers, digital converter boxes, or game consoles
  • PDAs, portable digital music players & other personal e-devices
  • Televisions

 

How can I Recycle with Haier?

In New York MRM is Haier’s electronics recycling partner. MRM has led the industry by incorporating innovative methods into the processing of obsolete electronics.  It has invested in cutting-edge equipment to shred, sort and separate equipment into its original components which are further refined and recycled into new products.
